The social-technical training concept for implementation and operations

A fundamental realization of nearly 50 years industrial research is: “Generally the management must understand that the success of the enterprise depends on, how it functions as a social-technical system. It is not simply a technical system with replaceable individuals, which can be added and will adapt” (Londoner Tavistock of institutes, Emery, Thorsrud & Trist 1964)

 

This corresponds accurately with Berghof-Systems’ over 10-year experience with the implementation and support of ERP solutions. “In general the successful introduction of a modern ERP solution is 20% software and 80% proper understanding and training of the employees” (Steffen Berghof, Königsee 2009), because:

 

  • The implementation of an ERP system always produces organizational development processes!
  • Organizational development processes always produce employee development processes!

 

We developed in cooperation with AT&M Technology and Marketing GmbH a custom made social-technical training concept. This aligns organizational and personnel challenges during the introduction and implementation of the ERP system. Our concept prepares managers and employees for problems, conflicts and organizational changes.

 

The benefit of this training for the user is, that Berghof ERP solutions can be implemented faster and more effectively.
